There are scores of so-called health-foods and power-foods that crowd the super-market shelves today and crave our attention, but we always know better because we can easily identify the more healthful options.

These foods have made a great name for themselves by focusing on the miniscule health benefits they offer, while masking the artificial and sometimes harmful ingredients that are also served alongside.

Granola bars, frozen yogurt (with those awe-inspiring “active cultures”!) … nothing is spared in this expose of the sugar and fat-laden fare that passes for health-foods these days.
