The 2008 National President’s Challenge For Fitness
22
March
On March 20th, Eli Manning, the winning New York Giants quarterback of this year’s SuperBowl, kicked off the annual President’s Challenge For Fitness. This annual event is a challenge to get Americans to be more active by exercising for at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week for 6 weeks and runs all the way to May 16th of this year.
With sedentary lifestyles the norm for most Americans these days, the President’s Challenge is a real wake-up call to both adults and children (if you’re older than 6, you’re part of the targeted group!) to get moving toward fitness. There are awards to honor states with the highest percentages of participation at the end of the challenge, as well.
To get started, create a profile at the President’s Challenge website. Are you up to it?
